If this heat doesn't kill me, I don't know what will.
I'm ready for fall. I love fall. If you know me well, you know that around this time, or even sooner, I start dreaming about fall. Everything from fleeces, to colorful foliage, to that special smell and the perfect breeze that starts to run through Austin. I have now started calling it Crockpot Season (which Davis hates because he thinks everything in a crockpot is pretty bland, which I know is only a testament to my cooking, ho hum).
Anyway- this fall, I absolutely must:
- learn more things to cook
- perfect a beef and vegetable stew
- make our back porch a cozy outdoor room
- volunteer for a group that helps pregnant teenagers
You would think it wouldn't be hard to find a group that does this- but I've been looking. Perhaps I need to broaden my search for a more general volunteer group and then within that- focus on pregnant teenagers. Teen Mom and this sweet young girl I met in the target check-out line have made me realize that I should be doing this.
Please fall get here. I'm melting.
