Jr. High

Am I in jr. high? I never went through that awkward phase where I felt uncomfortable about my body or wearing braces or anything like that. And I even had headgear. I could have cared less what people thought about it. And honestly- I sort of thought dental equipment was cool. So unsafe, but I used to straighten paper clips, then slightly curve them and put them in my mouth like I had braces. The older I get, the weirder I realize I was when I was little. Anyway- not the point.

But now I feel I have digressed. I hate wearing glasses. I have even looked in the mirror and thought "four eyes". GASP?! I so wish I could figure out contacts or get Lasik. And I'm at a new breaking point about my weight. I've lost 14 lbs. I have 15 to lose at least...and I feel stuck until I do. AND I totally fell off the weightloss wagon this week. Damn. How did 50 cent do it?

I know, I'm obsessing...but it's my blog and I can do that.
Sorry dear readers, all hundred thousand of you, for the negative blog.

  1. ok, all your readers got together and they have a few things to say:

    1) we are relieved to know you really are human. after watching you (some of us) go through real junior high and all the awkward stages of high school like they were just another night at the oscars we really did wonder.

    2) some of us also share your distaste for wearing glasses. we feel clunky or we feel they are weird appendages. mainly, we feel that you probably went through your glasses wearing phase quite early, during the phil siestra years and are now over it. we recommend buying some cheap disposables and going over to your sisters to get some help keeping your eye open during application.

    3) weight. first, your readers cannot say loud enough how amazing it is that you have lost 14 pounds. we are harsh body critics and we all agree that you look terrific and we know how hard it is to lose even a couple of pounds, let alone 14 - and while we don't usually say things like this we can't stop thinking: you rock. second, as women we hate extra weight on ourselves when it creeps up and we totally empathize with how you feel. we are beside you and cheering for you and we know you will win this battle. and in the meantime, know that you look fantastic on the field.

    love,
your day late readers. all of us.
